nah, it was a well needed trade, a true 2C signed up for 2 more years in Kadri vs Pavs who hasn't been a C in a few season plus not being able to keep Barrie beyond this season. It was a move that addressed a big need and set them up to keep their own without much issue

I agree I love Barrie but the defense will be to expensive with all the talent they have on the way..

Kadri wouldnt be my first pick but hes gritty and can score so I'm going to make the best of it until he shows me different

Yeah he brings an element we needed for sure, an upgrade over having sodes there but i don't know if he will hit the 30 goal mark. I would like nothing more than for him to do it, but he only made 30 those two seasons along side mitch marner. He was also 2nd center for a decent bit of games last season in Toronto when matthews went down and he didn't have the most impressive numbers. But hopefully he can use it as motivation and show he doesn't need an elite winger to be productive.
