He does have value, you are correct. What are teams really offering? I cant see any team offering a 2C which is what we need or even a legit top 6 player. Botts is going to have a hard time moving him for real value. At this point there is no room on the roster for him and Jarkiharju and Bogosian.

So you agree that Risto has value, but you fail to see that Wennberg is a cap dump at this point. He can't score goals, he's not especially good in his own end, and he just came off a year where he put up 25 points in a full season. He might be able to turn things around and be a 3C, but at this point his 5 million dollar cap hit for the next 4 years is a huge burden. If the main peices are going to be Wennberg and Risto, Columbus needs to retain a million and add a prospect

this trade is bogus for BUF and i dislike 55 just as much as the next guy but come on why are people all of a sudden turning him into a cap dump
