In the year Montreal hosts the draft, you get rid of their 1st round and both 2nd round picks. Severely over pay for Laine and Klefbom. This armchair GM thing not really your forte.

and the fact that MTL is hosting the draft so they have to keep their picks is overrated. They were willing to give them up for Aho, why not at least the 1st + 2nd in a Laine deal?

Domi overpaid give him 6 mil

For Domi it honestly depends on what he does this season. If he he puts up another 70pts+ season, guaranteed he gets between $8mil and $9mil aav (see Duchene). just the sad truth with cap inflation. But if he slides down in pts closer to 60, it'll probably in the Nylander aav range. For Domi to be near $6mil, he'd have to have a 50ish pts season in my opinion.

Giving Domi $8mil here just shows how Habs can still have a good chunk of cap space, about $4mil. (add that Laine is at $9mil too here)
