Easy no from the Isles. They are not going to move Leddy unless they are getting a top 6 forward and Byron is a 3rd line player.

if JP was available that low we'd have him

that being said he's done less in more time then Hudon who scored just under 80% of his points in his first year having a really bad year last season as he simply didnt get played anywhere long enough to make an impact thanks to the addition of Armia before the season he was pushed out as Armia was handed a position based on him being from our 18 year old rookies home town and there to be his mentor (even though he scored less then Hudon would have for the record )

my point is we value Hudon so lowly so it makes sense to do the same for Puljujarvi
but the issue is a team would rather keep and burn a prospect then give him away for nothing so he'll succeed elsewhere
its why Josh Ho-Sang ,Sam Morin and Hayden Fleury are all still with their teams .
if a team loses them on Waivers they can blame the Player for not developing as predicted but in trading them for less the management has to shoulder the blame .
(like we did with Scherbak )

a 3rd line player who plays top PK and PP

i dont give a **** what line you're on in todays NHL it matters what role you play and the minutes you bank

Byron has more value to MTL then Leddy who's been a non factor come playoffs for NYI and CHI before that .
CHI actually ran 5 D at 22-27 minutes to avoid using Leddy because he was -8 lower then the next player on the team nick named captain turnover by me that year because its all he did everytime he touched the puck . the next playoff Run they Dump Leddy and didnt even replace him running 4 D for 24-31 minutes each rather then risk Captain Turnover dragging them down .

Leddy's like Gardiner is just popular because he was on a struggling team going through a rebuild who found success while he was still there .
Leddy's about as responsible for it as Gardiner was in TML , the team would only get better in their absence as Hickey, Pelech , Toews and Aho take over .

atleast Byron is worth his Cap hit
5.5 m for Leddy who had a mere 26 points is bad enough to join Alzner in Laval by MTL standards
Byron played 30 less games due to 2 injuries and still scored 31 points for 3.4 m

Byron's 2 years older but he's faster and one of MTL's Locker Room Leaders we can rely on to provide a Spark every game
whether its his high impact hits , his ability to force turnovers with his defensive play or his quick release wrister Byron >Leddy to MTL

Armia is a far better player then Hudon is, Habs fans really overrate Hudon.
