Sabres have no need for another defensemen, you can keep Benning and we will take a fourth rounder instead. But I like the other two pieces.

Oilers don't need him, there is a need for wingers. I'm sure they would rather give Yamamoto a shot. Risto can quarterback a PP but other than that is a liability in his own end. Klefbom and Nurse will carry the PP until Bouchard steps in.

I agree that Buffalo does not need any more defensemen, but that is a decent offer and Benning could easily be flipped for a 4th IMO>

You may be correct. Ristolainen is only 24, this is the age most defensemen start to excel.
I will not try to convince you of his value, because I really want Buffalo to keep him. IMO he has been over used and misused since becoming a Sabres. Up to this year he was the teams BEST defenseman (yup that is sad, thank you Tim Murray), playing on a very bad team that did not have any on ice leadership, much less a veteran defenseman to mentor him.
That said, I do not think Edmonton would be a good fit. He needs to go to a team that has a winning culture or stay with Buffalo and get better coaching.
