I don’t watch many Canucks games, but any idea why he gets injured so often? I know he blocks a lot of shots but that can’t just be it.

After reviewing his injury history, he may have missed a good chunk of games but they don’t seem to be hindering injuries like Edler’s past back issues and concussions. Most of Tanev’s injuries could be attributed to his style of play and bad luck, like taking a slap shot to the thumb, ankle, and mouth. Which I assume wouldn’t keep him out of the line up come playoff time.

I think the sports science department in TO would do him wonders.
