Description
Capitals is my team, but what fun is it to be interested in the league if you don't have a decent idea of your opponents?

This is my outside look for the Edmonton line-up. Is it reasonable or do you - fans of the team - see other likely line combinations or pairings at defense? Who's got that special chemistry with another players etc.

- Surely, this will be the year when Bouchard takes a top-4 position?

- The right-hand side is quite tough among forwards, but what are the chances of Kailer Yamamoto taking a jersey after training camp? Are any of Yamamoto, Chiasson or Neal as comfortable playing LW as RW? (Because in my mind, Granlund isn't really a second line player)

I hope they give kassian the first chance of playing with Drai and McDavid. Those three at the end of the season were really really good together.
Keep Neal on the second line with with RNH like you have it.
move Gagner to RW and move Sheahan up and let Khaira play 4th line Center minutes.

scared for Bouchard to be in the NHL but he has all the tools to be a top 2 dman in the NHL, might need a year or 2 in the AHL. I am sure Holland will go that route.

Edmonton is not a play off team. they will be on the bubble for the most part. but this team just needs to shead some Russells and Koskinen now. bad deals holding up money

1. If Bouchard had a great camp, he probably gets another look there. But I hope they set the bar extremely high for him to stay past 9 games. Persson may surprise and win the spot over him if things go well.

2. The 2LW spot is probably a competition between Benson/Nygard and Neal, although Neal is probably most comfortable at RW. Chiasson should play 3RW and 1Power Play, as Kassian is better suited to make space for Drai and McD and keep up to them.

2LW is the main spot the Oil should look to still bring a player in in a trade. But, Benson may force his way on (again, bar should be set very high), and Nygard could translate to 15-20 goals...or be a bust on NA ice, who knows. But he has the wheels and the skill if he can put it together.

I hope to see this for starting night (assuming Bouchard plays lights out in camp):

Draisaitl-McDavid-Kassian
Nygard-Nugent-Hopkins-Neal
Granlund-Sheahan-Chiasson
Khaira-Gagner-Archibald

Gagner and Khaira should both not be center, Kassian was on pace for 25 goals last year with McDavid, leve him start there. Bouchard should start in AHL, Lagesson will make the team
