Description
Capitals is my team, but what fun is it to be interested in the league if you don't have a decent idea of your opponents?

This is my outside look for the Canucks line-up. Is it reasonable or do you - fans of the team - see other likely line combinations or pairings at defense? Who's got that special chemistry with another players etc.

I assume Boeser will sign, but I only put it as a one year deal for the purpose of just getting him onto the roster. If it's a bridge deal or longer term, I didn't take into consideration.

On the blueline, I guess Fantenberg will be the odd guy out, unless he bounce back somewhat to his performance in the 17/18 season.

On offense - holy cow! So many players available on one-way deals. Read that Roussel may be out until Christmas, so there's one, but who else will be scratches or sent to Utica? Eriksson is out in the cold, especially with that 6 million dollar cap hit. Motte? Schaller?

For how long will Baertschi stay healthy?

Is Sutter a future as a 3C, or will Gaudette push him out? I didn't list him in the line-up, since he doesn't need to go through waivers to be sent down. Such things usually matters. If Gaudette isn't there yet, who will be 3C? Miller? His place on the wing can be taken by Ferland, Leivo or another, but surely he was brought in to be a top-six forward?

The idea iof getting both Miller and Ferland was to avoid having their top players get injured so much by having a phyaical force on the line without loosing offensive skill. I highly expect Miller to be on the left side of of that first line next year. Hes a physical player with a knack for playmaking. Then put Ferland on the right of Horvat and Baertschi on the 3rd pair

This roster is full of guys that can move up and down the lineup. It's really anyone's guess which combinations find chemistry early. What we know is that Pettersson is a lock as C1 and that we've seen good chemistry between Horvat and Pearson and Horvat and Baertschi. Probably leaves Boesrer as RW1 and either Ferland or Miller as LW1. The bottom 6 is impossible to predict. I can't see Goldy on a line with Beagle and I would expect that Motte has a spot in the lineup over him.

Defense looks about right but too hard to predict right now on the forward lines.
