Description
Suzuki skating on a line with Danault and Tatar today, and with the Poehling injury, the door is wide open for him the make the roster opening night. Seems like Julien really likes the kid too. Literally the Habs most used forward in both pre-season games he's played so far (18:40 minutes played vs Florida).

Also, does Fleury make the team? From camp he's been imo the 3rd best Dman (behind Petry and Weber), Kulak being the 4th best dman of camp.

It seems to be trending on here that not only does Suzuki make the team but plays top 6 from the get go. Let's be real, he has worked hard and looks like he deserves a shot with the big club but top 6 is a stretch.
Bottom 6 paired up with Weal who he's played mostly with and has had great chemistry, along with some sheltered minutes on the PP. He's a rookie, it's a learning process.

From the look of things, it seems to be Julien's point of view too. I think this first week of pre-season, with regards to Suzuki (Poehling too), was to see if he can play with "NHL players" and demonstrate that he's "NHL ready". Hence, why Zukes was with Weal and Byron. I think he's passed with flying colors in that regard. This upcoming week will be to test if he can play in a top 6 role.
