After seeing Faulk on the left side last game, I don't want to see him play on the left side again. He was much better suited on the right side.

But Schenn's contract looks awful in a couple years when his body is beaten down. I like Schenn and the game he plays, but I see this turning into Andrew Ladd or Backes fairly quickly

Practice today had
Gunn-Petro
Bouw-Parayko
Dunn-Faulk

Could be a good fit if they can keep Dunn-Faulk on the right side of the ice as much as possible.

As for the extenschenn (howareya) there are valid concerns, but the directive of keeping good players around is fine with me. Can't punt every problem down the road, but you might have to punt a few if that's the cost of contending with ROR/Senko as the core for 3 more years.

I like those defensive pairings better, but think there are definite defensive concerns with that third pairing.

I don't mind keeping Schenn per say, but he'll be 29 when the contract starts. That's a long time for someone who plays that heavy style. I get keeping the AAV down, but 4 years max is my term if I'm Army.
