Description
Not much change to what they've got going on now. Bringing back the serviceable veterans in Nieto/Wilson/Barberio since the locker room chemistry is important and these guys have mostly been through thick and thin together.
Could be biased but we're seeing some tremendous results thus far and they aren't even playing perfect hockey.
Goalies are standing tall, bailing the boys out when needed. Talent and depth is real. Will make an AGM for 2020-2021 season with a little bit more of an overhaul maybe. We'll see.
Minors will likely look different based on draft but there were lots in the reserve list to pick from already.

Not that I don't think HE will be ready, I just don't thinks the AVS will be ready for him yet. Use Cole's final year to their advantage instead of clogging up the blue line any more than it already kind of is. I know Byram has his heart set on being NHL ready, but I think it's too bad he couldn't have taken the Makar route and go to NCAA (I honestly don't know how that all works). But I feel it will be most beneficial for Bryam and the Avs to wait until he's 20 to get bigger, stronger and polish his game off some more.
I'm making a 2021-2022 season right now with him in it. Stay tuned!

Yeah only way he could’ve played college is if he never played a game in the WHL. Basically how it works is if you play a game in the WHL or QMJHL or OHL you lose college eligibility.

I don’t think it’s a bad idea for COL to wait till he’s 20 I just see him getting to camp next year and making his mark and earning a spot. He’s gonna put up 80 pts this year in the WHL.

I see, thanks for the explanation.

Ultimately it's up the Avs to decide what to do right? I do agree he'll dominate this year in WHL and him showing up at camp next summer and making that decision difficult for the coaches is a great problem to have so we shall see.
Let me know what you think of 2021-2022 season I just made. I did not take the Seattle draft into account at the time since I forgot lol.

Yeah I saw it and it looks good. It’s always hard to predict 3 season down the road. I also hate that it eats up ELC years no matter what.

On the topic of people coming to camp and making it a hard decision. Jets are dealing with the same issue right now with heinola. I guess if they didn’t have a completely wrecked blue line he’d probably be in Finland but still lol. I hope they send him back and it would probably be best for byram to get another year in the W. he just dominates there. Might be better to put in him the AHL for the 2020-2021 season.
