I really don't see either of these happening. Zadina's staying with DET. Gus is a UFA and probably not an options for PHI.

Zadina's production has been extremely disappointing. Of course I could be wrong but he is trending towards being the next Alex Nylander. Yes its still early to tell exactly where his development is going but watching him play, listening to his interviews, and hearing about his "unique personality", Detroit just doesn't seem like the right fit.

I personally think it's Stevie Y's way of "tanking" the smart way to be perfectly honest. Michael Ras spent 62 games in the NHL last year and is now back in Grand Rapids for the foreseeable future to re-learn the center position. Zadina/Veleno/Seider. He's trying to make his young guys win in the AHL while also getting higher draft picks in this upcoming draft. He's a great GM. It's a long game to him and that's smart for DET. Just my thoughts though.

Yea that package doesn't even come close to Zadina alone. Quality over quantity.

Before you consider Zadina a bust, remember two things last year was his 1st in North American Hockey and two he is only 19 yo. I bet Stevie waits a year to see how he progresses before dealing him. This is not a good deal for Wings. Yzerman will be patient.
