Description
I get Draisitl is amazing and probably a top 5-10 player in the league, but McDavid is the best but is scoring at a lesser rate, I have a theory might not make sense and you may disagree just want your opinion. Is Draisitl getting so many opportunities because McDavid gets the attention? As a team you have to just choose to guard one hard because it's really hard to double 2 good players without leaving the whole rink wide open. I think teams will conciosly double team one of them and have to deal with watching Draisitl because they didn't think he was as good as McDavid was so in hindsite I think that the teams will now start doubling both and dealing with rest of the team, i don't think Draisitl will score at the rate he is now through November. He will probably still end the season with 100+ points though.

I mean, yes and no. There's a three-point gap between Draisaitl and McDavid right now, to say that Leon is getting more opportunities or is outperforming McDavid is a bit premature. McDavid has looked off recently, and I heard somewhere that he was managing a flu right now. Realistically, he's an above-average night from tying the scoring lead, and there's no real winning play when trying to counter Connor and Leon.

The way they got shelled this afternoon though. Lordy that's concerning and I hope it was a one-off.

If a team sees McDavid and decides to forget that Draisaitl is on the ice, they deserve to get scored on.

A lot of teams have two superstars on the Same line. This is not a valid explanation. The explanation Is that Draisaitl is an immensely talented player in his own right, and he's entering the prime of his career.

I dont mean forget him, I just mean put 1 player on him instead of letting 2 chase him.

Not that long ago I'd have said Malkin no question, but Draisaitl has elevated himself to an unbelievable level.
