Description
Time to time again I see people being unsatisfied with Babcock being the coach, wishing that he'd get sacked. Just two questions for you guys
A) Who would you like to replace him with?
B) What things should be changed the most?

Also just thought about that trade...could it work?

Sheldon Keefe is the obvious name. And imposing a team-defense mentality would be a good thing to start working on. Although I think this sort of change is just to kick players who grew tired of listening to the same coach for years.

I don't like the trade. Ceci is our most reliable RHD. We just can't afford to lose him. Meanwhile, some number 94 has been a permanent threat to our defense since the beginning of the season. It goes to show that people believe in name reputation before actual game play.

I would like to see Sheldon Keefe replace Babcock as coach.
I think Babcock micro manages his players to a point where they play a little tight and are afraid of mistakes. Keefe is a players coach and gives them alot of confidence.

Do not like the trade for the Leafs as have no interest in the players being acquired.

Replace Babcock with Keefe, change the PK and do whatever you can to get the PP going
Trade isn't great, Leafs D is thin, no point in giving up the 2nd best RHD for a 4 million dollar 4th liner

Babcock is terrible game manager. He's so worried about line matchups he the players aren't concerned about playing the game, but just being on the ice against certain players.
Really I think so many Leaf players have turned off Babcock as they think he is a detriment to the team and their success.
Leafs PP ran well with Marner playing the right point. Now with two offensive RHD...Barrie and Ceci, Marner isn't playing as much in that productive spot.
Maybe folks will appreciate how good Hainey, Zaitsev and Gardiner were last year compared to Barrie, Ceci and Marincin/Holl. If anything Ceci has been carrying Reilly this year.
Leafs best or at least their highest paid players aren't earning their money this year

Keefe should replace babcock. Hes just a clown who has overstayed at this point. He was good for the first seasons but it's clear that he wont change and they will just lose to boston again. I didnt like the assistants they brought in. Hakstol is bad, he overplays bad defenseman like McDonald and now ceci and their pk/defensive systems are still bad. Getting rid of Jim hiller was also really bad, their pp was one of the best in the league at creating chances but they didnt get lucky. DJ smith wasnt good and neither is McFarland. Their pp pretty much consists of drop passes, poor entries and low percentage shots from rielly (for the first 55 second)
