Not unless he accepts an extension under 6.66m, and that's not happening.

There are about 10 guys in the league I would be willing to part with for the next two 1st rd picks & Hall is not one of them. I am not sure why people act like he is Elite. He has one 30 goal season in 10 years.

One.

Youre also dumping the backes contract in this scenario and Zboril isnt really worth anything, just a lottery ticket for them at this point. So the first and second with Zboril is for Hall and the other 1st is for dumping backes. Not that outlandish to me

he's a point per game player on a bad/average devils team. Adding him to a stacked Bruins team makes them even more unreal.

See, I think you are wrong there. Zboril isn't nothing. He is NHL ready, there just isn't a spot for him right now. I do not want to give up anything of value to dump Backes' contract. It isn't worth it. Bury him and buy out next offseason.

They can get assets back rather than losing them if they deal other players to clear up space if they decide to go that route. Moore and Miller would both return 3rd picks, maybe 4th.

It cost them 4m cap next year and 1m the following year to buyout Backes. That is not worth anything more than a 3rd pick... His actually money is next to nothing, so there will probably be a team that needs to get to the cap floor, but doesn't want to actually spend money (I'm looking at you Ottawa).

A LW that they don’t need and can’t re-sign while giving up 4 long term assets is not the building of a dynasty. Quite the opposite. It’s a 1 year push followed by years of filling the roster with mediocre crap.

Pass.
