Was just about to post this. Don't know why it has come to this, but Quinn clearly isn't giving him the ice time. Would rather move Howden, but for whatever reason, Quinn trusts him more (don't know why).

Just make the change.

Can definitely see this coming a mile away...and its going to be a heist for the Oilers...in exchange for an enigmatic malcontent- who refuses to play there- they are getting back the bottom 6 type help they have needed for a few years: a tireless puck hound with an excellent hockey IQ...with an axe to grind that he belongs in this league...the Oilers will really benefit from what he offers- and he will benefit by playing alongside one of Drais, McD,or RNH...Years from now the Rangers will rue this trade! For now- good luck Lias- hardly got to know ya!

Considering there's only a 5 month difference in age and Puljujarvi has double the NHL pts/gp that Lias has in an organization that is well known for horrible development, I think the Rangers may come out on top

As a Ranger fan- I hope you are right on that...to me it's just that the Ranger organization -since drafting Lias - has completely failed him...can see him being a steady NHL player (not necessarily a star) elsewhere. As far as JP- I'm not against taking a flier on him....but to me- giving up on a 3rd year former #7 pick- who has never been given an adequate chance- doesn't qualify as a flier.

We only get to see what goes on at games. We know next to nothing about what happens at practice and training. I think it's not fair to assess that they didn't give him an adequate chance.
