Depending on how he plays moving forward and how early this trade would be, NJD could test him out and move him if need be. To be fair, with all of their recent moves, it would be hard to see NJD take on another rebuild. I think they would still try and remain competitive. Chucky, who would be playing consistent top 6 minutes, would get a real chance to prove himself.
As for the deal itself, I could maybe see it going to 11.
Honestly I'm not that high on Chucky... It didn't work in MTL for various reasons, moved to ari ARI, where he had his chance to become a leading winger and didn't work again, then got moved again to Pens where he has been probably at the weakest when compared (although he's been there for the shortest amount of time)... moving to yet another weak team is very unlikely to change things. He has skill, and he should be able to show it alongside great C's such as Crosby and Malkin, but statistically he hasn't shown really anything. He hasn't even scored 1 goal yet.
I think he has a had a load of chances in very different teams, and when it comes to expectations for a 3rd overall pick, he has blown every single one of them. If I was NJ I wouldn't take that chance. The likelihood of him either being pretty bad or just walking are just too high...
As for Hall, I expect that Panarin deal being the minimum he's going to be after, especially if he becomes UFA. Two years in a row in pace for 90 points, this season close to 80 with NJ sucking pretty bad... I'm impressed.
