You're still gonna have to give up your 1st and probably another pick, especially if NJD takes on Eriksson -- but I think a deal where NJD gets a goalie for the future is something they would definitely consider

I think you're right but I would stay away from offering up another 1st (Canucks cannot afford to with the Miller trade they made in the offseason).

Maybe Demko, Goldy, 2020 2nd for Hall plus Madden for taking on Loui's deal. Would likely need an additional sweetner, maybe add on Pearson or Leivo?

I Might be completely off base but if comparing to the Stone deal from last year, I liken Demko to Brannstrom, Goldy to Lindberg, 2nd to 2nd, and then whatever it takes for NJ to take Loui off the books so that the Canucks can even afford Hall. It's a little bit complicated haha

I think that NJD would be very interested with Demko involved - it may not work to add Eriksson in the deal then if there is no 1st as well. I just find it hard to believe that a former Hart trophy winner doesn't net a 1st. That's where the comparison with Stone falls short - Stone didn't have any awards like that to pump up his resume. And if they can't trade a 1st, then it may not work.

Definitely have to respect the Hart win, however, I wouldn't put too much distance in between Hall and Stone (Stone could earn himself a Selke in the coming years with his two way play). You are right though, teams like Colorado and Buffalo will be able one up Vancouver by adding that first (late). It'll be interesting to see what happens.
