So you get a young 1rw who is on pace for 50 points on our third line who is signed 2 more years and expires rfa and we get an older Dman rental who is not playing well. And you think the difference between the two is the difference between a 3rd and a 4th?

Actually he's on pace for 46 or 47 points; but here's the real value...he's on pace for a whopping 16 goals!

KK has a lot of tools (mainly speed) but he's still needs to put it together..does a lot of overskating the puck, missing passes, etc. He's a decent cap hit but you guys tend to overrate who he is today and instead IMO should be focused more on his ceiling not the player he is today. He's not Kubalik who in his first year (48 games) is on pace for 55 points and 35 goals versus Kap who has 182 games under his belt.

He’s actually developing quite nicely this year much more patient with the puck and making smarter decisions. He’s playing in the third line and his point production is still good. Kubalik seems like a great player too but I would certainly give it some time to make any judgements.

Kapanen for hamonic this season is not a good trade for the leafs. Last year maybe.

Lines have been in the blender all season trying to get some offence going.
