That ANA deal looks pretty bad. Henrique will be 30 in a couple of weeks, has 4 years left on his deal and hasn't posted over 50 points since 2011-12 when he got 51. Yikes.

I am not as high on Samorukov as some are. I don't think his value will ever be higher than it is right now. I also think Henrique is better than a third line winger, I would personally put him there just to spread out scoring, but he can move up and down the lineup, could absolutely fit on the first or 2nd line too.

How could his value be at its peak when he's a rookie pro who is just getting traction in the AHL?

He put up 50pts in '16, 18 and 42 last year, he's not a scoring machine, but he is definitely still a top 6 player with positional flexibility. Yeah he's gonna be 30 soon which isn't ideal but he hasn't had a Sam Gagner type aging core, he still looks like the same guy he's always been if you watch him, his scoring stats are about on par with his career averages (despite playing for a really bad team) and his advanced stats this year are actually as good as they have ever been, the guy is at 57%CF which is pretty damn good considering he's playing with a team that is having their fair share of struggles.
