They 100% keep Simik, one of the few players actually capable of defending on the team

Yeah, it's a rough spot for them. I'd strongly encourage SJS to retain half of Timo and get as many picks as you can for him. CAR has (2) 1sts and (2) 2nds and they're contenders this year. I'm sure 3.5 years of a $3M Timo is worth A TON!

They're not going to be contenders in the next 4 years. Martin Jones is still their goalie and their defense is only getting older. Tear is down for real.

***EDIT*** If there's any team in the NHL that's lived long enough in purgatory...it's the Sharks. (Used to have an argument for the Caps and Blues) I 100% give them credit for going for it. It didn't work. Now Truly Rebuild.
