Wouldn't be willing to offer enough to make a fair deal. Pesce is more the type of defenceman that Toronto needs.

Agree with both of these. I was thinking the same thing, but I don't think he can even discuss extension until January 2021 can he? Because of that short term, his value is pretty low.
I wonder if there is a deal to be made for a top D-man like a Pesce without giving up Nylander, because Nylander's contract is going to look better and better moving forward.

Wouldn't go past Kapanen, Liljegren, and a 2nd for Pesce. Even that's a tad much. But a teams gonna have to overpay a bit to get him. If Carolina adds a prospect to the deal, maybe gets it done. But they'll want Kapanen over Johnsson and honestly Pesce isn't what this site says he is. He's a #3 d-man that's very good defensively. He's not worth any of the packages that have been said on here and is overrated because he's a right handed shot and someone that Toronto inquired about. Once Toronto asks about a player this site seems to blow that players value through the roof just to hate on Leafs fans. It's pretty comical
