Trades
EDM
  1. Rakell, Rickard
Additional Details:
Honestly believe the only thing stopping this deal from happening is that we’re a division rival
ANA
  1. Benson, Tyler
  2. Lagesson, William
  3. Puljujärvi, Jesse [Reserve List]
  4. 2021 3rd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
3 promising future NHLers for a fringe elite winger on a great deal. The risk is huge here for both teams, but there’s much more room for benson and Puljujarvi to play on Anaheim.

A rebuilding team in the same division isn't trading one of its best players without getting a 2020 first.

If the promise you mean is 3rd line then sure... I wouldn't give more than like a third for any of those guys, Lagesson does NOTHING for the trade, would probably never play a game for the ducks, Benson and Pulju aren't bad, but we already have tons of forward specs/young roster players, Terry Comtois Ritchie Kase BOG Lundestrom, Silf has a ton of term left, all fighting for 4 middle 6 wing spots

Understandable honestly, but a lot of the young guys they currently have aren’t living up to half their potential

So they get more underachieving guys... And I mean I wouldn't necessarily say guys like Steel or Terry or Lundestrom are underachieving,

Benson I’d say is a year out. So he joins the ducks next year and breaks out there with a more experienced but young group of guys, and Puljujarvi becomes a weapon on the powerplay there best case scenario... as an Edmonton fan I really am going to miss Puljujarvi. If he gets a coach to trust him and plays 15+ minutes a night consistently and 2 minutes a night on the powerplay at least, he’s a 50 point guy, Mark my words
