I’ve mentioned this trade before. Most sabres fans seem to be on board (or desperate lol) it is a low return for couture but based on his contract I think it is fair. San Jose would not be able to retain that long, especially since I have the burns contract retained.

I think you have about 3 years of great 2c and then the decline. Where he could be pushed to the wing beside cozens or down to 3c. I think couture could contribute to some great C depth even in his decline.

Clearly buffalo would need to make some other moves. But I think that is inevitable.

I agree you can never have too many hard working, positive players in your locker room.

All these sabres fans worried about logan couture in 6 years, when we have sucked forever.

He is an excellent player and a dynamite playoff performer. In 3 years, 8 million will be the going rate for a 2C
