Description
Jost - Labanc (win COL)
Zadorov - Dillon (win SJ)
Kamenev - Karlsson (win SJ)

Colorado adds the top-six forward they’re looking for without dipping into their prospect pool or trading a first round pick. They also don’t force anyone out of their current lineup and onto waivers. Zadorov and Kamenev are prime candidates to be moved as they have younger, high-pedigree replacements in the way (Byram/Timmins, Bowers/Kaut/Newhook) within the next year. Jost could break out in San Jose and come back to bite the Avs, but he hasn’t been able to break out of the bottom six in his current situation.
San Jose replaces two pending UFAs with younger pending RFAs who are under team control and could have legitimate futures as Sharks. They give up the best player in Labanc, but get back a 21 year old former top-10 pick in Jost who could really benefit from more opportunity and SJ’s development system.

Sharks say no all day. I understand value isnt terrible but we dont get anything we need here and lose Labanc who will be pretty important next year. We have three fine LHD for next year so dont need Zadorov, Jost is pretty poop, and we have tons of bottom six capable players so paying Kamenev is a bad idea.

I dont think it's in the best interest of either team, zadorov has value and will be very valuable in the playoffs, both sjs forwards would be bottom six in colorado with bura and donskoi playing so well this season, who knows what they'll get out of jost or kamenev
