Description
Colorado gets a skilled middle six forward in Kase with another year on his deal. They also get a stop-gap center in Grant who can move down the lineup when Kadri returns. They give up about 10 spots in the draft by swapping their first for ANA’s second.

Anaheim gets a well-rounded B prospect in Kaut who projects to be a second or third line two-way winger. They also move up from the early second round to the late first round.

Ducks decline. They need RHD not more RW. Our second round is fairly high so we wouldn’t be adding that. Kase for a 1st and prospect would be fair but not Kase plus Grant. You’d need to add more.

How in the world do you think moving up ~10 spots from an early 2nd to late 1st is worth it for Ducks? Not to mention Kaut's heart issue and rather poor production this year...

As an actual Cardiac RN, everything that is out on him is pretty much a non issue. Routine and fixed. Moving up 10 slots... probably not worth it.
