NJD Another First

That's already too much for my liking, I don't like the idea of adding Vatanen, he's a 5v5 liability, but a great PP QB. Palmeri is a nice add, but I wouldn't do both of these for him

Vats is a late first or two seconds. Palms should get a late first and a good player with a third depending on the other two probably. Connor Timmins and a first from Avs as an idea. Bouchard and a first from Edm. Urho Vaakanainen, Ryan Fitzgerald and 2020 1st-round pick from Boston
I would split those two up if I were Fitz!

See I like the Idea of adding Vatanen. You are correct about the 5v5 liability, but I think the cost for him would be worth it. IMO Vatanen would probably be the best best value wise as we wouldnt have to give up a lot like we would have too with other tradebait Dmen.

I think the cost to obtain these players will be ~

Palmieri: A-level prospect + 1st round pick
Vatenan: Either 2nd + 3rd round....or B-prospect and pick...or two C-prospects and pick

Players in CAR's system I'd think NJD would look at (and rough approximation of grade)

In my opinion, Palmieri is a more valuable trade chip than Hall and Coleman. He has another year left on a ridiculously low cap hit for a 30G scorer. He'll cost at least a 1st, a 3rd, and an A prospect. Otherwise, NJ will just hold on to him for at least another season.
