Saad has been one of our best players this year on both sides of the puck. If you want to reaquire him, it’s not going to be because he needs a change of scenery. The price is a first and a prospect.

I've thought about this, but CHI is going to want a 1st rounder. Unless Jarmo is determined to get him back, I don't think CBJ are comfortable making that trade.

Despite that, 1st + Anderson could be an interesting package. If CBJ wants to deal in all futures, then 1st + Marchenko.

This is not what Columbus needs to be doing now... we haven’t looked great since we lost Jones and now our most consistent offensive player is done for the season. With the injuries we have right now Columbus isn’t in a place to compete to make the playoffs, the price for Saad would likely backfire and we’d lose more then he would bring for us.

Our injury list as of today- Jones, Atkinson, Wennberg, Bjorkstrand, Texier, Anderson, Kukan, Murray, Korpisalo, Dubinsky.... those are some pretty important names. If we lose a PLD, Nyqvist, Werenski or Savard, our season is over and we would struggle to put a quality team on the ice and that 1st could easily be top 10 or even top 5 when it’s all said and done.
