I would not trade away a player on an entry level deal and taking on nearly a 4 mil contract considering it's Barzal's RFA year.

isles can afford to trade a RHD prospect with pulock, dobson, and mayfield on the right side.

They have 3.2 mil in cap space before JPG's raise. Greene frees up 5 mil but Barzal is going to take the Isles to the cleaners in arbitration if they don't sign him. The Isles need to move a contract and soon.

That trade is pretty tempting. I think I just might be able to resist, but if you had a 2020 first to dangle, I wouldn't.

File this away for the summer when the Montreal-NY trade goes through just like that, and you can chortle.
