Holy **** that Carolina trade. CAR don't have the cap space for Marner, even moving Pesce and Dzingel. Haydn and Foegs are both RFA's and if Pesce is moved it means Vatanen is coming back. This trade would need either a 3rd party to retain, or change Marner out for Nylander as the starting point and re-work the package from there.

In terms of value..... jeez. Put it this way if Carolina offered you Teravainen, Foegele, Geekie some random prospect and a 2nd for Rielly, Johnsson, Liljegren and Sandin, what would you say? For me, I think this is an easy pass, despite the extreme quality of Marner. That is just too much to give up, especially when removing a core piece.
