Trades
1.
NYI
  1. 2020 5th round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
Lou begins his busy offseason with a minor move, sending Ho-Sang west for a fresh start
STL
  1. Ho-Sang, Joshua [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
The Blues who got a long look at the former first rounder in the minors when he was on loan late last season, like him enough to pull the trigger
2.
NYI
  1. 2020 2nd round pick (MTL)
  2. 2021 3rd round pick (MTL)
  3. 2021 4th round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
Lou's first of three Draft Day deals sends Leddy to Montreal. With 15 picks in the first four rounds of the next two drafts, the Canadians part with three of them. Only a second rounder in this draft which they are hosting gets moved coupled with a 3rd and 4th from 2021
MTL
  1. Leddy, Nick
Additional Details:
Leddy steps right in behind Chiraot on the left side, joining Weber and Petry on the right to form their two top lines as they try and move on from Alzner
3.
NYI
  1. 2020 3rd round pick (OTT)
  2. 2021 2nd round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Lou's second Draft Day swap has him trading him Ottawa for the second time in six months, sending long time favorite Bailey and Dal Colle to the Senators for one of their two 2020 third rounders and one of their three 2021 second rounders
OTT
  1. Bailey, Josh
  2. Dal Colle, Michael
Additional Details:
With loads of cap space, Ottawa puts Bailey into the mix for their front two lines and Dal Colle is reunited with his old coach where he blossomed as a youngster
4.
NYI
  1. 2021 4th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Lou's final Draft Day deal sends Boychuk to Toronto and a swap of picks. Johnny's 8-team list includes all the teams within 500 miles of his current home in NY and Toronto makes the cut, ending his 6-year stay with the Islanders
TOR
  1. Boychuk, Johnny ($750,000 retained)
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
With Barrie and Ceci lost to free agency, Toronto adds Boychuk for some veteran presence on the right side with Holl and a bunch of youngsters. They also swap picks in the deal with Toronto getting a higher one in this draft. The Islanders also retain 1.5 million on the 12 million still owed to JB
5.
NYI
  1. 2021 7th round pick (DET)
Additional Details:
Both of Lou's other offseason swaps are done in July after bonuses are paid out. The Islanders send Komarov to Detroit (not on his 7 team NT list) along with a 2021 4th rounder for a 2021 7th round pick
DET
  1. Komarov, Leo
  2. 2021 4th round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
The Red Wings basically get Uncle Leo for only 3.5 million in cash for the two years (after NYI pay his last remaining bonus) or they could buy him out for a rather low cap hit
6.
NYI
  1. Parise, Zach ($1,538,461 retained)
Additional Details:
Lou's final offseason trade has him rekindling the deal that almost happened at the 2020 deadline, sending Ladd and Bellows along with three 2021 draft picks (all acquired as extra picks at the draft) to the Minnesota Wild for Parise and 7.5 million retained of his 37.5 million salary
MIN
  1. Bellows, Kieffer
  2. Ladd, Andrew
  3. 2021 2nd round pick (OTT)
  4. 2021 3rd round pick (MTL)
  5. 2021 4th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Wild part ways with Parise and get some 15 million in cap space over the next 5 years, save almost 20 million in cash (as the trade is made after the Islanders pay Ladd's 3 million bonus), the prospect in Bellows and three mid-round picks in the next draft

Don't hate this, but TOR would probably find a better way to use that 5.25M they're spending on Boychuk. Also, Bailey could be kept. I'd consider bringing up Wahlstrom with a stellar camp but another season to marinate isn't the worst thing. Sending him down and paying Greene a smidge less allows you to keep Bailey on RW3
