Why would you even think about the van trade. Giving up a decent prospect for a guy who won't play any defense isn't worth it. He is the oilers best prospect in the college rank and you want to trade him for a whiner.No thank you .

A decent prospect? I wouldn’t say he’s got a great chance to make the NHL as a regular. He’s probably going to ally like Josh Currie. Good call up, can play a small role but is more or less an AHLer. And he didn’t whine he was looking for a contract renewal even though he was basically given the shaft just because the HC didn’t like him. I personally think it would have been worth it. And don’t need to do the AA trade I just like the idea of Jost coming to his hometown team.



He already signed in the KHL I guess. I thought he hadn’t signed yet I heard their FA period starts at the end of April. And for him to be a FA it’s not until July for the NHL. Would have needed to jump the gun if they wanted him to stay in the NHL. And the reason I would put McDavid and Draisaitl back together is to get the best out of Kassian. He’s not a top 6 forward but he reads well of McDavid and Draisaitl. I think Yamo and RNH would be ok with another decent winger. Goldobin had good corsi in Vancouver last year but he was basically put in the dog house by the HC cause of some off ice issue.

I actually made this 2 days ago just didn’t post it till today. I thought it was still only a speculation that he was going to the KHL didn’t see that he had already signed.
