Forget about that non sense Carey Price buyout. There absolutely no chance that Montreal buy him out.

Cap isn't dropping that low, Krug doesn't want to play in Canada and he wants more from Boston, So no way Krug signs that cheaply. And zero chance of Price being a compliance buyout target..

What's non-sense about it? Price is expensive now, and might be crippling in the future if he goes into these ice cold streaks he goes into every year. At the very least, Montreal should consider it. Paying $10.5M for a goalie is what is non-sense.

If you are stating it will never happen because Bergevin, that's probably true, but it should still be considered.

You suggest a cap of 70m....and that might happen. But teams aren't going to that level by compliance buyouts. The NHLPA and NHL will agree for cut in salaries across the board with high players taking the biggest haircut.
Most of the NHLPA are lower paid players....they vote for biggest reductions for top end salary earners.

Yeah, there are so many things that remain up in the air, just throwing something out there. But you are right, its likely a cut across the board, and the NHLPA must be prepared for this if they are offering up a Stanley Cup playoffs before the next season opens. (since a lot would have to happen between the two)
