Description
This is the logic from the trades

EDM: Moves down 10 picks at the draft, but gets Neals contract off the books and adds a two way 3C who can play up in case of injuries.

CGY: Can afford to make a UFA splash with Lucic off the books, Don't lose any of their blue-chip prospects and they can afford to deal a pick having been very very quiet on the trade front up to this point

NSH: Desperate need to get Turris 5x6M off the books during their window. Turris is still loved in Ottawa. NSH gets an NHL-proven C (at 50% price) that will only be in the way until Tomasino can step up.

EDM/NSH/CGY fans, We saw with Boston, that getting rid of Backes 1 year @ 6M cost them a prospect and a 1st. So assuming that, I have slightly increased the "prospect" part of the trade or increased the value coming back (a la Kase)

If I am off on my value evaluation, propose what you would consider a fair counter.

EDIT 1:

Added value to the Ottawa side in CGY and EDM.

CGY retains 1M on Lucic and upgrades our 64th OA for 50th OA

EDM adds Lavoie in exchange for NHL ready winger RFA Nick Paul

I think loses on the 1-2 year term obviously, but on 3+ I think were far in front. Im still very high on Puljujarvi and trading from our most deep position to our least deep is worth taking the short term hit. Neal is a great guy for our young guys to learn from. Lucic is a great guy to learn from. What do you think would be more fair trades with the central premise being Bad contract + 1st

Tierney and the 33rd overall for Pool + something like 22 is very close. Throwing in Neal is way too much.

Connor Brown is probably worth a 2nd + B prospect right now so I think Lucic is also a huge add to the deal

Yeah no chance from Calgary. You can have Kylington and a 4th for taking Lucic, otherwise were keeping him
