Description
Delving a little more into FA than usual, but fairly subtle moves. Allows some different dynamics to take place, maintain D structure, but a few moves designed to bring offense up a couple notches. Any thoughts?

Replacing Faksa with Vesey is a massive step back. I quite like the Fast signing, but overall I don't feel like this team is any better.

Appreciate the thoughts.

Tried to look at as current leadership might. Dickinson is ready to usurp Faksa, so get an asset at the draft for the future. Meantime, bring in couple fwds to compliment that aren’t too expensive, that also have upside.

Hutton is depth, Talbot buys time for Oettinger, and allows Caamano to have a bigger role. Also believe Robertson will be up as injuries come.

Do not in any circumstance move Faksa for nothing short of overpayment. He's so good at his role, extremely talented defensive C's are very scarce. Teams tend to notice how much they have an effect on their play after they lose the player.

The Center market this off season is poor. Faksa is worth way more to a team that needs a quality shut down defenseman. Honestly, Dickinson might have equal or greater value due to cap restraints on quiet a few teams this next season (if the cap stays the same).

I don’t disagree. Collectively the Stars are a good defensive team, so dealing Faksa would be from a position of strength given we’ve developed Dickinson. If we were able to bring in the scoring depth on the wings, which both are also good two-way fwds, then I think it’s worth the draft asset in a deep draft. Team gets better now and in the future. Certainly no guarantees.

Appreciate the thoughts, need a good hockey debate right now smile
