I know that when it comes to proposing trades on this site there is bound to be disagreement. However, this is just silly. Why would we retain salary and then take subpar players that really don't fit the trajectory of the Ducks ? That said, one thing you did get right is Timmy could be in a possible trade later down the road. But, this will never happen due to the term and retention. Only chance this could happen is on his contract year at the deadline. Anytime before that it will require a bit more. Nevertheless, its funny that this fanbase seems fixated on Manson but always undervalues him , proposes terrible trades for the organization and then sticks him on the first pairing. Not to say Manson is this top 2 dman but he has much more value at 2yrs and 2.1 mill imo.

Imo this is a pretty fair offer, maybe replace Johnsson with Kerfoot? It replaces the RD need instantly. However i wouldnt move Manson unless youve already drafted Drysdale. Idk what your mean by "term and retention is for too long" its literally only a season.

@Ledge_And_Dairy I understand you're not a ducks fan. Probably don't focus on them too much. Cant Balme you especially considering how we played the last two years but these players and proposals do nothing for our future. Like I said this can happen on this contract year but with 2 years left Drysdale or not we are better off keeping him. No need to get rid of our best RD(sad to say that) for top 6/top9 guys when we can have 18-23 yo in our system play. Kerfoot is worse imo he will take mins away from those we need to develop. Plus, we have two other guys who fill his role in Henrique and Silfverberg.

Im also not a leafs fan and have been a major defender in Manson going to the leafs needing to involve Liljegren. As for finding a replacement for Manson, I think its less difficult then you think. Ofc I think its very important that Drysdale be drafted first, but LA was able to fill holes this year with a guy like Hutton to stopgap their rebuild

@Ledge_And_Dairy I also think Manson is replaceable and the trade value in a way does match but they give us the wrong tools ya dig? If we are gonna give him up with two years left on his contract we better get something to help us in the future and any asset the leafs offer us that is reasonable doesn't help unless its draft picks and Liljegren.

I don't take Drysdale's value lightly but he wont be nhl ready in 1-2 years? And we have no RD in the system. I just don't see the need to accept this trade for the value in return.

Edit: misspelled last name
