Description
I see a bunch of people making trades to Montreal. I came up with one myself and wanted to see where others thought it would stand with values. Please be insiteful and elaborate, not just say pass, or that it's stupid.

Just the trade and not the team, I understand the team needs more than the way it shows.

I don't think Habs accept. Domi is great but he's in a down year and those are two high second round picks. On the other hand, Nylander is not so great and Saad is great but does not fix our scoring issues

Remove the 2nd round picks from the trade and the value is closer IMO; maybe a 4th going back Chicago.

Just don’t get your evaluation here? Max Domi is clearly the best players in that deal, he is rfa for 2 more year, fairly young at 25. Mtl then give 2 high second round pick with Domi to acquire Saad who Clearly had seen is best day behind him, he is not a great skater so he will probably face a quick decline passing 30. He is also becoming Rfa in 2 years so will be looking for big money. Nylander is no more a high price prospect, he look more and more like a players who cannot live up to expectations. The second round pick is a late one so this make absolutely no sense from the Habs point a view. Values are just way off here.

I personally wouldn't do it. Saad is years removed from being even a 50 point guy with only 1 year before hes UFA and Nylander has yet to really break through in the NHL yet. Habs give up two low 2nd round picks also?

Your assessment of Saad is WAY off. Saad was on pace for 47 points and 30 goals which is not only still producing at a very good clip for him, but is actually better then Domi at 50 points and 20 goals comparably this past season. Furthermore, to suggest Saad is not a great skater is crazy. Saad is a fast two way winger, and has a burst that many players and the league don't have. Just look at how many breakaway chances Saad had this past season. Lastly, he's only 27 years old not passing 30 which is only 2 years older then Domi, and on year...he's a UFA after this season not a RFA in two years.

I'm clearly not advocating this trade is fair based on contract status and age as noted above, but you are obviously not much aware of Saad.
