Why would Buffalo even do. I would rather take Casey over Smith and Montour and Strome are equal

So the 3-way trade is Vegas gets Montour for Tuch. Tuch gets swapped to CHI with Casey for Strome and Smith. It's not my trade. I wanted to see it from the CHI point of view. Here's the link tot he BUF side. Vegas is probably the team that says no in all of this though.

Also, I respectfully disagree on Montour being equal to Strome. I hope CHI extends Strome. That center depth would be amazing!

Agree....Montour equals Strome? NO WAY

Kubalik gets somewhere in the $3M range. He has no arbitration rights and his only option is to go back to Europe and play if he doesn't take a deal the Hawks offer. Also, Crow isn't playing for less then $4M, it would be a big slap in the face if all the Hawks offer is $3M...if that's the case he walks and maybe retires. He's made plenty of money in his career but this is about ego...he's not going to cut his pay in half and be on the road for 9 months after putting up good numbers last season.

The length of contract is why I'd do that Kubalik Deal. 4 x4. I can also hear your point on Crow. He may hang them up, but if he wants to play I really do think he'd accept somewhere between $3M-$4M. I have it as a 2 year deal...so $6M. He's said that he wants to be a starter. The cap isn't just an issue for the hawks. There aren't too many teams I envision him going to. They'll work out something that's agreeable to both sides.
