It was already mentioned that Alex Pietrangelo turned down that same offer to stay in St Louis, Reportedly he wants between 8 x 9 or 8 x 9.5 to stay in St Louis. Fat chance he takes that deal knowing he could easily command 7 x 10 on the open market.

also why in the heck would the Sabres do this? here is a way to keep Pietrangelo by him singing a deal that was less thane turn down and a team takes on a huge cap dump
trade, its just that easy

I don't think he takes that, but I think Ottawa would be interested in taking on Alex Steen for the right price.

Regardless of what Pietrangelo signs for, im not convinced guys like Steen, Bozak and Allen and Gunnarsson etc are gone for little to no cap coming back. I think for the team to stay intact as much as possible, they really need a CBO.

Agreed Jason Botterill isn't helping out Doug Armstrong here. Need to offer better sweeteners here to move on from both Bozak and Allen that's for sure.
