Description

The Kings definitely have filled the cupboards but one area of glaring weakness is defense. I'm unsure it happens this summer but I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings took a swing at a top-4 defensemen. Until then, the team will continue with this conservative rebuild approach.

With Vilardi taking a firm grasp on the mid-six center role Grundstrom, Lizotte, Luff, Amadio, Moore, Hutton, MacDermid, and Prohorkin (if he signs with us) start to fight to keep their roles as Anderson-Dolan, Bjornfoot, and Kale look ready for the big show. I expect: Kupari, Turcotte, Madden, Thomas, and ****emo to be with the Reign, so they will get called up for a few games mid-season. It is unlikely Kaliev goes pro this year, but it is a possibility.

That's been the question for him and Wagner: I like Walker and Wagner, but I worry if they are defensive liabilities. That being said I wouldn't be surprised to see either in place for Prohorkin, Luff, Amadio, Grundstrom, or JAD. This will all shake out after camp, but this is my best guess.

It's not like LAK has any cap problems but Grundstrom has only played 13 GP this year. I know he has the potential (top9/top6) but he isn't even a regular yet so you could get him for less than that ($), no?

Walker can easily get more than that.

Lizotte 4RW? Carter at C? And not a problem, but curious to see how the LD will do, all are rookies.
