Description
Money will be tight for all teams.
If there is a CBO, there will be a glut of players out in the open market fighting with the RFA's and UFA's for contracts/cash.
It makes sense to bridge Dubois and look to sign a solid UFA (preferably a center but since Grigorenko will be coming on a show me contract, a scoring winger should help just fine).
Wennberg between Atkinson and Bjorkstrand would definitely get him back to his 1st year numbers (at the 1C position) around 50 assists.
Long term - losing a player to Seattle, as well as CBO (or expiring contract after 2021) of Dubinsky, as well as expiring contracts of Foligno, Nash, Murray, and Savard will help to re-sign Ollie, Jones & Werenski in 2 years.
PS...One of Elvis or Korpi (most likely Korpi based on the value of the contracts signed) will be traded as well in the next year or two, so this will open some cash up too.
Sorry Andy, you were the odd man out.
I didn't go through the exercise of re-signing all of the RFA's, I just got lazy on a Friday afternoon. Please just pretend that they are here in this post.

Additional Details:
Rebuilding team like LA would definitely take a chance on a young power forward like Anderson, who would enjoy moving to tinseltown.

Tell me, would any 31 year old player that has averaged 66 points a season in last 3 years sign a 2-year $5M contract? No chance.

They tend to want a stabile, long contract as they near the ending point of their career. The contract should be closer to $7M AAV at 4-5 years or so. Radulov's contract is a good comparison.

I wouldn’t sign Dadanov we have plenty of wings. Let the kids like Texier, Foudy, Bremstrom play more then 3rd /4th line.

I’d also buyout Wennberg vs Dubinsky. Dubinsky Is likely LTIR next year.

That certainly has been the case/value in the past. But based on my first disclaimer, I do believe that the contract values/signings will be a bit lower due to the contraction of salary capacity in the league due to the economy, and it will be accentuated with more players out in the market if there are any CBO's

They are still really high on Wennberg. Dubi will most likely LTIR again, but I was curious to see the lineup with Wennberg back at 1C (or at least between 2 scoring wingers, so if Dubois gets his trousers in a ruffle, put them on the 2nd line and Dubois can be top dog between Nyquist and Bemstrom (or Dadonov), or whoever!

Possibly, but considering the cap is still going to be high as ever if it remains where it currently is, so I don't think the change is going to be much. $0,5-1M, tops.

$6.5M x 5 years seems still much more plausible than what is offered here.
