What is players value if they're traded at next year's TDL.
I'm not as familiar with MTL.
Does any of this make sense for MTL--trading assets for prospects and picks?
What's the vibe around price? a CBO? a trade would have to have heavy retention.
TOR/BOS/TBL are so stacked and the Metro will grab the wild cards so MTLs best chance, I think, will be in a couple years when BOS/WSH/NYI are older and fading.
signed the old guys sort of as fillers but if MTL isn't competitive they could sign old guys to 1 year deals then flip them for a mid to late pick to contenders who want veterans for a playoff run.

Habs could definitely get more in those PIT, TOR and COL trades. Drouin for a 1st could happen if the acquiring team thinks he can stay healthy. Do not think BUF makes that trade.

I doubt any of those UFAs are coming to MTL except for Kovalchuk, and he's gonna sign for 2M probs
I personally think you will not get that much for Gallagher and Mete. Maybe add something
Retaining 3.5M on Price for what 7 years? Yikes
Overpay for Drouin
BUF probs doesn't want to move a top 10 pick
Kovalchuk and Marleau could get you 3rds, and Hainsey probs gets you a 5th
