Description
Not certain Texier is back from his injury...if so, he would replace Lilja, Matteau or MacInnis.
I swapped out Anderson, I forgot he is out until fall
PS...I like the idea of trying Wennberg between Atkinson & Bjorkstrand, since all are very good defenders, and this might spark some more scoring from him.

The one thing that worries me about playing Columbus is guys like Anderson and Folino head hunting TO's stars. I am not saying they are dirty but they will think that being physical could give them an advantage and in such a short series that could get out of hand quick.

You shouldn't have to worry about that from Columbus. The Jackets may play a heavy game, but they typically do not take cheap shots. Any series with the Capitals is a concern. For obvious reasons. More often than not, we are on the receiving end of them in the playoffs (Wilson headhunting just about everyone) and the Kucherov hit on Nutivaara last year???

I seriously think that the league needs to implement a mandatory rule for the playoffs that if a player injures another team's player on a dirty hit (any hit, elbowing, cross checking, boarding, kneeing, check to the head, etc.) in addition to the on-ice penalty, the offending player needs to be suspended for as long as the injured player is out or a minimum of 3-5 games. Otherwise, teams just target the other teams' best players and hope they put them out for the series.
Think about it, if the Jackets lose Dubois or Jones, they are probably done for the playoffs.
At least the Leafs have numerous stars that can pick up the slack and scoring if one goes down.

Texier should be back.

Lines I’d rather see-
1st- Texier, PLD, Bjorkstrand
2nd- Nyquist, Wennberg, Atkinson
3rd- Folingo, Jenner, Anderson
4th- Robinson/Shore, Nash, Gerbe

Get the top offensively players together and let them lead the scoring. Wennberg is a black hole and putting our best and 3rd best offensive players with him won’t help him, it’ll hurt the other 2. PLD skated well with both players, let them stay together.

Columbus will have to play super solid defence in this series and playing more defensive minded player is the way to do that. If we try and play the run and gun with Toronto we’re going to get smoked and probably swept. Defence looks fine and for the goalies I’d bet Vehvilainen is the 3rd goalie on the roster, he’s better than Kevleniks is and they left him in the AHL to play vs ride the bench and as there is no AHL, practicing is better then doing nothing.

Either way.
As for the fill-ins, I liked how Matteau and MacIninis were playing toward the end of the shortened season rather than Shore, Robinson, or Lilja.

Not to be rude but I always see you make Cam - Wenny - Bjork a line. When has cam proved he can play LW? I dont remember them ever putting him there and even if capfriendly lists that, they're constantly wrong. You cant play someone like him on their off wing at 30 years old and really expect them to play well.
