OTT declines. James Neal is not the kind of player you want around a young squad. He ignores his defensive responsibilities and coaching staff. If OTT does take him it will be at a substantial cost to EDM and without us giving up anything we don't want to give up; this includes Connor Brown and picks.

Ottawa and Carolina trades will hurt Edmonton in long term more than short term gain. Selling two useful players and giving up a good prospect to habs for a third and fourth next year? Pass on that as well.

The habs maybe do this. Although we wouldn’t really want to give up the picks, and as much as I love Sammy, he would clog up our prospect pool on LHD even more than it already is. We’d definitely be interested in taking on Chiasson & Russel for a price.
