THIS [2020-2021 Off-Season] IS "ASSUMING" ..........
~ THAT THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS GETS TO THE CUP FINALS OR WINS THE STANLEY CUP..... again .....
~ M. Murray WINS [2-3 Series] & Plays Great (boosting his value) but has a small injury after 1st series that keeps him out a cpl days and ......
~ T. Jarry comes in, plays Unreal, wins a series [getting him his playoff experience] & Murr's comes back & leads Pens to Cup Finals or another Cup win.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

***** [3] - TEAM TRADE ***** ~ Pittsburgh ~ CAROLINA ~ EDMONTON ~ ***** [3] - TEAM TRADE ***** {Break-Down}

[PIT] gets :
~ RW-- M. Necas #88 - $863, ~~~~~ IMO, this kid could be a Top 10 winger soon. I'd start him on 3rd line but can see him on Geno's RW eventually & getting 20-25 Goals in 20'-21'
~ LD--- H. Fleury #4 - [RFA] ~~~~~~ Never really got a starting role in CAR, BUT I'd bet on him flourishing w/ Pens as a 3rd pairing.

[EDM] gets :
~ G---- M. Murray #30 - [RFA] ~~~~~ This gives EDM a legit & proven Goalie moving forward that could help McJesus actually maybe win some playoff gms???
~ C--- D. Cotton #83 - $858, ~~~~~~ This BC Prospect was 1 of the best NCAA players & will be a middle 6 - Center in NHL very soon.
~ 2022 - 3rd Round Pick - [Conditional] ---- Only if Murrray plays in Less than 55% "OR" Less than 45 gms in each of 20'-21' & 21'-22' Reg. Seasons.

[CAR] gets :
~ C---- RNH #93 - $6m ~~~~~~~~~~~ Hopkins is a 2nd line Center or Top line LWer that is underrated AF in the NHL.
~ LD-- J. Riikola #50 - [RFA] ~~~~~~~ Riikola is def a NHL 3rd pairing guy & should have played more in PIT.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

** The 2020-2021 Season is going to be Jam Packed w/ Back to Back Games & w/ [4-5] gms every week**

PITTSBURGH PENGUINS MUST :
1}- Add as much Depth as possible at every position
2}- Bring in some younger legs

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

2020 - 2021 ~ PITTSBURGH PENGUIN ROSTER ~~~~~ ** New [UFA or Traded] & Original Players & Reasons Why **

FORWARDS :
{UFA}- LW/C/RW- M. GRANLUND #64 :~ Zucker gets his former teammate to come to [PIT] on a 1 yr "prove it" Deal, after a down season for Granlund. I always thought that #64 would be a damn near perfect Winger for SID, who plays like Simon#18 but is 50 x's more skilled + his give & go game down low w/ Sid would be scary. PLUS - Granlund could be a fill in at Top 9 Center if Geno or Sid are out for a cpl of gms.

{Trade}- RW- M. NECAS #88 :~ I can't even begin to say how much I love this dudes game - His skill, size, shot, play-making ability, & he will hit!! This would be a Perfect "Young" player to come in & play w/ Geno in his last years here. Even tho I'd prob alternate Rusty#17 & Necas at 2nd & 3rd line at the beginning.

{Pens}- C/RW- N. BJUGSTAD #27 :~ I'm prob in the minority but I still like the oft injured Juggs & I think we all kno how much GMJR likes him & how long GMJR tried trading for him. +++ Why trade him, when his value is so Low? (unless Cap space is needed) +++ Why not risk it - that he will go all out being in a contract yr? Plus, U can't teach 6'-6" size.

{Pens}- RW- P. HORNQVIST #72 :~ I kno, I kno.... Horny is not a 4th line Player (+ Horny wouldn't even care) - "BUT" - A 4th Line of [Tanev - Blueger - Horny] could be great & perfect in a season that will DEMAND for teams to use all [4] Lines during a compacted season & Not crush the Top [2] Lines. (4th lines may need to avg 12-14 min during Season) PLUS- The Pens usually have [2-3] injuries anyways at forward, lol

{AHL - Depth}
C/RW- Lafferty#37 / RW- Angello#57 / LW- O'Conner#__ / LW- Johnson#47 / C/RW- Lettieri#__ / LW- Bellerive#64 / LW- Miletic#80 / LW- Poulin#22 (Jrs?) / C/LW- Hallander#11 (Swed?)
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

DEFENSE :
{UFA}- RHD- C. TANEV #3 [#8] :~ Tanev's analytics are not great but he is always going against #1 lines & has been a great Defensive D-man. Having the Tanev BROTHERS would be cool too. PLUS Tanev would be an ideal Vet to pair w/ the young Fleury. Also have Juulsen waiting (if healthy) to step in.

{Trade}- LHD- H. FLEURY #4 :~ Fleury never really got a starting Role in [CAR] but I think the former 1st Rdr is absolutely ready for a 3rd Pairing Role and "The D-Man Whisperer" (GONCH) could make him reach his potential.

{AHL - Depth} :~ LHD- P.O.J. #73 / RHD- Juulsen #56 / LHD- Heatherington #48 / RHD- Trotman #5
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

GOALIES :

{Pens}- G- T. Jarry #35 :~ Jarry is absolutely ready to be the 1A & has proven me right for all those yrs, saying "He is & will be a starting Goalie"

{Trade}- G- A. Hill #31 :~ If anyone knows my Armchair teams, they kno how much I love this young underrated Goalie that is a Matt Murray clone, IMO. I think Hill & DeSmith battle for the back-up Goalie & Hill will win. I could see Hill getting 30-35 starts in 20'-21'.

{AHL - Depth} :~ G- DeSmith #1 / G- S. Martin #30

      1. Fleury, Haydn [RFA Rights]
      2. Necas, Martin
      Additional Details:
~ NECAS - I'm a HUGE to GINORMOUS fan & is 1 of my favorite young NHLers rite now. + IMO his upside has no limits.

~ FLEURY - Never got a starting role w/ CAR but IMO is ready for the 3rd pairing & could be the next project for the "D-man Whisperer" (Gonch)
      CAR

      EDMONTON ~ PENS ~ CAROLINA
      [Break-down in Description Part]

      - RNH makes [CAR] scary AF down the middle w/ Aho - RNH - Trocheck - Stall. Also being able to have RNH & Trocheck play wing, would make a versatile & scary Top 6 or Top 9.
      - RIIKOLA is a very good (look @ his lytics) #5-#7 Dman that can play both sides & never got a fair chance in PIT.
      6.
      PIT
      1. Juulsen, Noah [RFA Rights]
      Additional Details:
~ I've been a huge JUULSEN fan & it's a risk bc of his head problems but all I've read is that he is finally healthy & actually came back to play bf Virus hit.
      MTL
      1. Björkqvist, Kasper
      Additional Details:
      - The former 2nd Rdr is not rated high on prospect lists but I'd bet he will be a bottom 6 NHLer for 10yrs w/ his non-stop motor.

Yea Carolina isnt trading an expansion exempt, soon to be better than RNH player in Necas, needless to say to a division rival.

On top of that we are supposed to send Cotton (who we had to sign his brother to get him to come here), our best RH forward, and a LHD for another depth LHD and a center that will be a UFA in 2 years. Awful just awful.

Edmonton passes. Murray falls apart every year for at least 20-30 games and is inconsistent on a very good Pittsburgh team. In Edmonton his numbers would fall. I think Koskinen has similar or better numbers in Pittsburgh. We'll keep RNH. He's proven himself on a struggling Oilers team for years.

Really interesting. But I think EDM need more return. RNH worth more than Murray. Cotton hasn't prove anything at this point. Probably swap the conditionnal 3rd for a fix 2nd rd pick or give them Simon or ZAR.
