i like the Holloway pick if its in the 13-16 range, I wpuld also consider Mercer and Lapierre. Both are solid center prospects.
I think Mange gets a little more for a 20g 40p pace.
If the goal is to not QO Jankowski then not offer him anythi g as a UFA you should trade his rights, I think he would fit NYIs, ARIs and CBJs systems well. Overall it looks like you just kinda shuffled deck chairs without actually improving the team

I don't see anybody willing to give up any assets for Jankowski. Flames non-tendered Colborne after a 19 goal, 44pt season. I could see Jankowski getting the same treatment.

This team would have to rely on bounce-back seasons from 13, 23 and 5.

If they keep Gaudreau, the next best trade chip is Hanifin, but then you need to potentially find 2 top 4 D, depending if they can re-sign Brodie.

I don't wanna see the Flames trading their 1st or 2nd either. They've drafted well lately, lets see what the scouts can do with some more bullets, early in the draft. The prospect pool is better than it gets credit for, but it still needs some work. The Flames of the early 2010's used too many draft picks on bandaids, it's a mistake they don't need to make again

Depending on if the go is to resign Johnny or not I could see Pelletier being shopped since hes anothwr LW. I full expect our 1st 2 picks this year to be used on a Center then a RD.
As for Jankowski he definitely has value. But he wpuld be moved in a change of scenery. I personally like the swap of Fischer and Janko thats been posted before

Fischer for Jankowski definitely makes sense.

The Flames have religiously stuck to BPA, which is fine, for the most part there's nothing to complain about in the past handful of drafts.

That being said, they need to land a couple of D in this draft. Haven't taken one since Valimaki. If they pick in the 13-16 range, there's not really a D I like, maybe Guhle. Schneider will be a good player, but best case scenario he's a shutdown #D. It comes down to draft philosophy when discussing a guy like Schneider, safe pick or swing for the fences?

The Flames need C help, but they also need to start spending early picks on RHS forwards. They've been trying to acquire RW since Iginla left. It's a lot easier to fill that hole when you draft them. Only RHS forward they've selected under Treliving in the top 2 rounds is Hunter Smith. I like Zavgorodny and Phillips, but as late round picks if they turn into bottom 6ers that's enough for me.

End of rant lol
