Description
Jets draft Braden Schnieder with their first round pick. really solidifying their D prospect pool with Heinola, Samburg, and Chisholm. Short term deal with Granlund and matching term with Leddy allow the jets to be patient with development. Jets need to start drafting forwards again with their 1st/2nd picks after the 2020 draft to rebuild that pool.

Yes from NYI. I really think Leddy would do so well on the Jets. Perfect fit for him and the team.

Islanders accept for sure and while I think its a good deal for the Jets, the reason I never use the Jets for Leddy trades is because his contract makes re-signing Laine/Pionk/Copp more difficult next year. Not impossible, but a little harder. That said, they need a d-man and good ones don't come cheap.

I think copp probably ends up in Seattle, Lowry, pearrault, leave or come back cheaper. Should still be some dough for rfas but still have hole at 2c and minimal dough to fill it.

Jets need to draft an develop their next 1c who will play 2c until they take over. Sadly, the reality is that Winnipeg will never be able to attract high quality UFA centers due to it being Winnipeg. They could go through trade, but the assets they would have to give up would make it tough to stomach. Especially if the 2c doesn't end up fitting.

Ya seems to be a shortage around the league, I’m pulling for Gustafsson to be a defensively responsible chemistry type 2c. With laine and ehlers, or possibly roslovic but I’m starting to give up hope of him up the middle. It’s probably crazy but it might be offersheet barzal time at a penny under 4 firsts compensation and bandage the blueline together and ride it out 3/4 years
