Description
What if Strome and Kubalik get offer sheets? Say both at 5.5x5? Who would they match and who would they let go? Alternatively would they let both go or match both?
What teams might do it? How much would price the Hawks out to match... You get the picture
Please be creative and not just say won't happen... this is just a HYPOTHETICAL discussion after all!

I chose to match and deal with it

Though it might be easier to trade De Haan, I chose to go with Saad, De Haan may gain some value before the TDL, where as Saad will probably be at the same value. Same with Cags, I chose to sign and keep him with an eye on moving him at the TDL. Yes could trade Matta, I chose to buy him out figuring a deal couldn't be made.

This is also assuming the Hawks do not win the 1OA pick

It would never happen. Also, if you want to make a post like this I suggest you say what teams are offersheeting.

If Strome gets that much in an offer sheet, I’d legit considering taking the picks. Love the guy, but he isn’t worth that much yet (might not ever be worth that much, period) and a team would be stupid for doing it.

If Kubalik got it, yeah I guess we’d have to trade Saad, which sucks because there’s no way we’d have any leverage in those trade negotiations but I’d rather have the 24 year old who just scored 30 goals in his rookie year than the pending UFA, so whatever.

Its possible, but I think offer sheets are even less likely this year. Think about the teams with Cap Space. DET/OTT/NJD. Those are lottery teams. Now COL might be able to...that wouldn't be as much fun.

Pittsburgh can not take (cap wise), nor do they want, a $6M Saad.
