I mean, the Gaudreau trade doesn't look good. But why trade for him in the first place? Lafreniere looks ready to step in on the 2nd line, and with a vet like Trocheck he would be in a great place to succeed.

why offer sheet Kubalik with Laf coming on?

just keep one of Nino and Dzingel. No Gaudreau and no Kubalik.
