Compher isn't a guy you ideally want in your top 6. He's passable on the 2nd line and a great 3rd liner pretty much.

Whilst I like the idea of acquiring Labanc in general this is a lot of value to give up from Colorado. Especially when we could simply offersheet him and acquire him for less in compensation.

LeBlanc is interesting. Compher is somewhat of a lower tier 2nd liner and higher end 3rd liner.
But COL could just OS LeBlanc and save the assets

Given that we already have a bit of an offensive passenger in Burakovsky in the top 6 I think acquiring Labanc would only be done as an opportunistic signing if the value is good, as would be the case with an OS. We don't really have that big of a need for a RHS PP specialist either. I do like the player though and we could probably find a way of incorporating him into a middle 6 scoring role and let him steer PP2 from the left.
